The appointments took effect on 1 May 2026 and will run for a period of 24 months, in line with the committee’s Terms of Reference, unless otherwise determined by the FAZ Executive Committee.
According to a statement issued by FAZ Head of Media and Communications, Nkweto Tembwe, the committee will play a pivotal role in addressing legacy debts, identifying sustainable revenue streams, and bridging financing gaps to ensure operational continuity. It will also support long-term growth and investment in Zambian football.

Established in accordance with FIFA provisions and pursuant to Article 50 of the FAZ Constitution, the ad hoc committee will focus on key commercial areas including sponsorship, investment, and marketing initiatives—bringing together diverse expertise to guide FAZ’s commercial direction.
