“Your next move matters more than your last mistake. Read that again” – Harry Valden Findlay

Focus less on where you stumbled and more on where you’re going. That’s where growth, healing, and success begins,”

"Your next move matters more than your last mistake. Read that again" - Harry Valden Findlay

…Its message is simple but powerful: your future is not determined by your past.
Here’s a deeper explanation:
Everyone makes mistakes. No matter how wise or successful someone is, they have made poor decisions, failed, or regretted something. Mistakes are part of being human.

Your next move matters more than your last mistake. Read that again” – Harry Valden Findlay

What truly defines you is what you do next. A mistake becomes a lesson if you choose to learn from it. But if you keep dwelling on it without taking action, it can hold you back.
Your next move has the power to change your story. One good decision can start a new chapter. An apology can repair a relationship. A fresh effort can lead to success after failure. A step toward your goals can outweigh yesterday’s setback.
Don’t let guilt steal your future. Regret can be useful if it teaches you something, but it becomes harmful when it keeps you from moving forward.
The image of the traveler walking way from the dark mark on the ground reinforces this idea. The dark spot represents a past mistake, while the traveler continues walking. He doesn’t ignore the past he simply refuses to let it stop his journey.
A good life lesson from this quote is:
“You cannot rewrite yesterday, but you can write a better tomorrow. Your next decision is more important than your last failure.”
Focus less on where you stumbled and more on where you’re going. That’s where growth, healing, and success begins.
