Now more than ever, and with the delimitation of Chongwe, *Chongwe West* needs bold, accountable leadership that understands policy and is people oriented. I went to school here, I farm here, I vote here, I reside here.
As a daughter of this soil and a mother, I understand both our struggles and aspirations as people of Chongwe and now I am stepping forward to serve, lead, and represent *Chongwe West as a Member of Parliament.*

Chongwe faces youth unemployment, long distances to schools, poor infrastructure, and limited access to quality health and education. With new mineral resources being discovered, this must become a fair social contract for our people. Through my social impact initiatives, I have supported women and youth empowerment, sports, and grassroots work here, and I will focus on job creation, working with councils to build more schools, improve services, and ensure resources benefit our communities.
With many years in policy, governance, and development leadership, I bring experience that delivers results, and networks across Zambia and globally.

Bernadette was born in 1986 and grew up with her family who encouraged her, from young age, to pursue her interests in leadership and service.
