University of Zambia Historian Dr. Eustone Chiputa is hoping that no political party will be disenfranchised as campaigning starts in May 2021 ahead of the competitive Thursday 12th August Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Government Elections.
Dr. Chiputa is equally prodding political parties to avoid addressing huge crowds during campaigns as a means to prevent the spread of Covid 19.
Dr. Chiputa says political parties must follow the health guidelines and learn from India where rallies contributed to the spike in Covid 19 cases.
And Dr. Chiputa is happy that former National Democratic Congress Leader Chishimba Kambwili has gone back to the ruling Patriotic Front.
In a Lusaka interview with Kwilanzi Newspaper Zambia Limited, Dr. Chiputa spoke against chris-crossing of politicians as such developments are not beneficial to anyone.
Dr. Chiputa says whether his going back to PF is genuine or not, Dr. Kambwili belongs to the Patriotic Front.
