With barely 96 days before Zambia Votes on Thursday 12th August 2021, Political Scientist Innocent Mulenga Kolala is calling for prayers as the Southern African Development Community (SADC) continues experience Inter-party and intra-party political violence.
Mr. Kolala has told Kwilanzi Newspaper Zambia Limited in an interview on Saturday 8th May 2021, exactly three (3) weeks and five (5) days before Polling Day that there is need for the Church to prayerfully remind politicians on the importance of having peace in Zambia.
The Political Scientist is concerned that most if not all Politicians in Zambia are not preaching development as an electoral campaign message but most of them prioritise character assassination, name calling and physical confrontation.
With approximately three months before Thursday 12th August 2021, Kolala appealed to Zambians to remain united before, during and after casting votes.
PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Chendela Mukondo sees nothing wrong with President Lungu donating cows to inmates at Mukobeko Maximum Correctional Facility in Kabwe

Patriotic Front (PF) Information and Publicity Chief Administration Chendela Mukondo has defended President Edgar Chagwa Lungu’s decision to donate two heads of cattle to inmates at Mukobeko Maximum Correctional Facility in Kabwe.
Despite the gesture being done in an electoral season, Mr. Mukondo protestingly told Kwilanzi Newspaper Zambia Limited in an interview in Lusaka that there is nothing wrong with President Lungu donating cows to inmates.
Mukondo says it is immature for the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) led by entrepreneur-turned politician, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema to suggest that the move is an electoral bribe calculated to entice eligible inmates to vote for Dr. Lungu and PF candidates.
Mukondo says it is wrong for the UPND to perceive the donation of two heads of cattle by the Head of State to a vote buying ploy.
Mukondo says country wide developmental projects embarked on is enough evidence for the people of Zambia to vote for Dr. Lungu and PF candidates at Parliamentary and Local Government level.
The Patriotic Front Information and Publicity Chief Administration says the accusations that the party is buying votes is an indication that the UPND has run out of ideas to convince Zambians to vote for their Presidential candidate Mr. Hichilema and team.
