Movement for Change and Equality (M4CE) is delighted with the outcome of the Thursday 15th January, 2026 parliamentary by-election in Lusaka’s CHAWAMA Constituency.
“Pastor Ruth, you have done us proud to have mobilised all women and youths quietly and unnoticed. You are indeed a freedom fighter”.
Congratulations to the Forum for Democracy and Development and the Patriotic Front (FDD/PF) campaign team comprising President Given Lubinda, Miles Bwalya Sampa, Celestine Rocky Mambula Mukandila, Dr. Chishimba Kambwili, Lawrence Sichalwe and People Pact 2026 flag bearer, Dr. Fred M’membe for collectively delivering a convincing victory, which has resulted in former Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary (PS) Mr. Bright Nundwe being elected as Chawama Member of Parliament (MP).
I am certain Hon. Nundwe’s victory is reaffirming a belief in Zambia that his predecessor, Tasila Lungu-Mwansa was unfairly treated, when Speaker of the National Assembly, State Counsel (SC) Ms. Nellie Kashumba Butete Mutti declared her seat vacant.
I am sure Mafinga MP Robert Chabinga and his UPND sponsors are sick 😫.
