Government prioritizes Citizens with Disabilities, Doreen Sefuke Mwamba

Community Development and Social Services Minister Doreen Sefuke Mwamba says government and its partners will put efforts together to uplift the standard of living of citizens in all of Zambia’s ten provinces as way of entrenching human rights advocacy beyond United Party for National Development (UPND) era.

Flanked by her Permanent Secretary, Beatrice Darko chilufya, Chifwema area chairperson Ackim Mwansa  and Zambia National Federation for the Blind president Emmanuel Muliko, Mwamba challenged all persons with disabilities to impose themselves on issues of striving to level the playing field with all citizens by representing themselves in communities through their leaders  and discussions in their respective societies .

“We don’t want to any one behind as UPND , we urge  all the disabled persons to form organizations  or be represented by already existing groups to practically take part in improving themselves  and communicate to relevant authorities as government alone cannot manage to  gather ideas  and thoughts  from the whole nation,”Mwamba.

Mwamba commended the disabled persons of Chifwema for being responsive and supporting the New Dawn Government effort raise the standards of by digging a borehole in Chifwema Area.
