Dr. Fred M’membe, the Socialist Party Zambia President and People’s Pact presidential candidate, is a beacon of hope in Zambian politics.
His heart, larger than a watermelon, beats with compassion and forgiveness.
Despite facing persecution from the Patriotic Front (PF) Administration, which destroyed his media enterprise, Dr. M’membe chose to forgive Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, the deceased 6th Republican President.
Dr. M’membe’s commitment to unity and reconciliation is a rare gem in politics. His defense of ECL, both in life and death, is a testament to his character. Even as he continues to pray for the former president’s soul, M’membe’s actions speak louder than words. He embodies the values of forgiveness, empathy, and kindness, making him a true leader in every sense.

The recent delay in burying ECL, now seven months, has drawn Dr. M’membe’s attention. He has lamented the protracted legal battle invoked by the United Party for National Development (UPND) Administration, calling for an end to the impasse. M’membe’s stance is not about politics; it’s about humanity.

As the Thursday, August 13th, 2026, Tripartite Election approaches, Dr. M’membe’s candidacy offers a glimmer of hope for a more compassionate Zambia.
Deputized by Movement for Change and Equality M4CE President and Chairperson Musenda Kaluba Simuyemba, Green Party’s Peter Chazya Sinkamba and Robert Kaponda Sichinga, Dr.M’membe’s People’s Pact is built on unity, equality, and justice – principles that resonate with the common man.
With five vice-presidents backing him, M’membe’s vision for Zambia is one of inclusivity and shared prosperity.
Dr. M’membe’s leadership style is a departure from the retributive norm that has characterised the Zambian political landscape.
He is a team player, willing to collaborate and engage with others, even those who have wronged him. This is a rare quality, especially in politics, where power struggles often overshadow the greater good. M’membe’s approach is a breath of fresh air, inspiring a new generation of leaders.

The Zambian people are fortunate to have a leader like Dr. M’membe, who embodies the values of compassion, forgiveness, and unity. As he runs for president, he carries the hopes of many who yearn for a better future. Dr. M’membe’s story is one of triumph over adversity, a reminder that even in the darkest moments, kindness and forgiveness can prevail.

In a world where politics often divides, Dr. M’membe’s message of unity and reconciliation is a beacon of hope. As Zambians prepare to cast their votes, they would do well to remember the power of compassion and the importance of choosing leaders who embody it. Dr. Fred M’membe is one such leader, and his humanitarian story deserves to be told.
