UBZ President Apostle Hector Soondo endorses Dr. Fred M’membe for 2026 General Elections

United for Better Zambia (UBZ) Party President, Apostle Hector Soondo has urged Zambians to support Dr. Fred M’membe of the Socialist Party Zambia as a presidential candidate on the People’s Pact Movement (PPM) ticket in the upcoming Thursday 13th August 2026 Tripartite Elections.
Speaking in Lusaka, Apostle Soondo warned that the forthcoming elections should not be treated as an experiment that could empower leaders who, in his view, oppress the poor.
Apostle Soondo expressed concern over political figures previously rejected by citizens who are now regrouping to take advantage of what he described as the failures of President Hakainde Hichilema and the United Party for National Development (UPND) Administration.
“These elections are not for experimenting to the extent of creating the monster that will hunt poor citizens like what is happening currently,” Apostle Soondo said.
Apostle Soondo advised Zambians against being misled by what he called “fake popularity” and emphasized that Dr. M’membe has a proven track record of leadership capable of improving Zambia’s economy in a short period.
“Zambia can be a good country if it is given to Dr. Fred M’membe in the coming generation,” Apostle Soondo added.
Apostle Soondo’s endorsement highlights the growing political alliances ahead of the 2026 Tripartite Elections, with parties and leaders rallying behind candidates they believe can deliver economic stability and social justice.
