Recognised as an international hub of academic excellence and innovation, with institutional affiliations in Canada and Belgium, Hygeia Global University College is extending its transformative model of higher education to Zambia for the first time.

“Opening our first campus in Zambia represents a powerful step forward for Hygeia Global University in expanding access to globally competitive higher education”, says Dr Devendra Singh, Hygeia’s Director and Chairperson.

The Justina Mutale Foundation is proud to support this significant milestone by providing 200 scholarships to academically qualified yet financially disadvantaged Zambian students, ensuring equitable access to quality higher education for those with demonstrated potential.

“What makes this moment especially meaningful to me is our Foundation’s role in this journey. Our scholarship students are not only beginning their academic journeys, but they will also form part of history as the first cohort of Hygeia Global University College in Zambia”, Says Dr Justina Mutale, Founder & President of the Justina Mutale Foundation.

In the days ahead, the Foundation will spotlight the Hygeia–Justina Mutale Foundation Scholars who comprise the university’s inaugural intake. These students represent the first cohort of Hygeia Global University College in Zambia and will play a defining role in shaping the institution’s legacy in the country.

Through this partnership, the Justina Mutale Foundation and Hygeia Global University College reaffirm their shared commitment to empowering the next generation of Zambian leaders through access to inclusive, high-quality higher education.
