Opposition United Party for National Development Mwinilunga Member of Parliament Newton Samakayi has questioned the decision by the ruling Patriotic Front to reinstate Jackson Kungo as North Western Provincial Chairperson.
Mr. Samakayi is wondering why PF Secretary General (SG) Mr. Davies Mwila could reinstate someone whose case is still active in a Zambian court of law.
A disheartened Samakayi has told Kwilanzi Newspaper Zambia Limited that it is premature for the Patriotic Front to reinstate Mr. Kungo when the court is yet to clear him of any link to
happenings at Kansenseli Mine in Mwinilunga District of the Northwestern Province.
Samakayi says the decision to reinstate Kungo is confirmation that the PF does not respect Zambia’s Rule of Law.
