In a heartwarming story of determination and perseverance, 57-year-old Gladys Nambeye has returned to school under the free education policy at Mbonge Secondary School in Solwezi, North-Western Province. Col. Grandson Wishikoti Katambi (Rtd), Permanent Secretary, met Ms. Nambeye during the launch of the 2025/2026 tree planting campaign at the school.

Ms. Nambeye, a Grade 10 pupil, expressed her gratitude to President Hakainde Hichilema for introducing the free education policy, which has enabled her to pursue her studies. She runs a skills center and plans to empower others after completing her education.
