Israeli Ambassador to Zambia, Her Excellency Ofra Farhi has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Education, Dr. Douglas Syakalima at his office in Lusaka.

In her remarks Ambassador Farhi disclosed that her country values the strong bilateral relationship that exists between Zambia and Israel and it is why her government is more than willing to share best practices in sectors such as education.

Amb. Farhi praised the Zambian government for showing commitment in areas like Early Childhood Education-ECE because Israel equally places importance on foundational learning as a cornerstone of advancing a nation’s socio-economic goals.

“Our ECE system in Israeli is so advanced thereby enabling learners to have full understanding of vast knowledge around them especially in an era of Artificial Intelligence-AI, ” Amb. Farhi said.

“This government saw it fit that in order to have a turnaround strategy to change the people’s mindset for the good of this country, we needed to go down to Early Childhood Education-ECE to impart knowledge courtesy of the Free Education Policy,” he said.
