As you are aware, our hard fought laws, the Cannabis Act No.33 of 2021, and the Industrial Hemp Act No. 34 of 2021, have not been operationalised to benefit you the members and the nation at large.
This is so because there are no representatives of the Greens and ZAMHEP in the top leadership of government.
The season has come to elect leaders into top government positions.
If we, the members of the party and the association are desirous to get the two laws to be implemented, this is the time to make the right decision and get into top government positions our own people who will go and prioritise the implementation of the two laws.
In this regard, the Greens and ZAMHEMP will be holding a joint General Conference at which we will elect/endorse/adopt leaders to contest local government, parliamentary and presidential elections, with a key mission to prioritise the implementation of the two laws this year.
Tentatively, the General Conference will be held in Kitwe between 10th and 15th April 2025 at a venue to be communicated in due course.
Greens and ZAMHEMP Members from all the 10 provinces interested in attending the General Conference should submit their names to provincial officials with copy to the Secretariat as soon as possible on WhatsApp numbers:

The General Conference will also provide guidance on collaboration with opposition alliances including the Tonse Alliance, Pamodzi Alliance, the People’s Pact, WOZA and other like-minded alliance.
