The relationship between the State and the Church is, for no other reason than, for the betterment of the welfare of the people who are at the centre of these two institutions; as both citizens and faith devotees, respectively.

We believe the State has four core essentials which is the Sovereignty [the divine authority of God], the People, the Territory, and the Government.

It is a fact that the Church exists in and for the population; notwithstanding that the entire population is the very image of God the creator of all else.

However, as for the Church and in her relationship with the State, it shall, at all times act within (the prescribed laws of the territory) and with the State on all the issues of common concern that safe guard the welfare of the people while her core fundamental duty remains:

a) to proclaim the truth of the Gospel and her social doctrines;
b) to perform her critique and prophetic mission; and
c) to courageously pass moral judgment on the political and the socioeconomic issues affecting the welfare of the people when the common good so demands; whenever the Bill of Rights, human dignity, human rights, human freedoms, public peace, public security, national unity, poverty and the salvation of souls are at stake; this will be last line of public protection in order to achieve and preserve the four elements of the social order through the virtues of – truth, love, justice and freedom upon which is the edifice on which human civilization is erected.

M4CE believes that the foregoing shows quite clearly that both the State and the Church have a moral obligation to dedicate themselves to the service of peoples of Zambia by always acting in the best interest of the common good of the citizens, and the church continues to guide to the humiliation of the mediocre successive regimes to date.

Therefore, M4CE shall always and also seek open and courageous criticism on issues affecting the welfare of the voiceless poor and abandoned majority of Zambians whenever the common good of the people is at stake; the State and the Church.

We earnestly believe that two are fundamentally sides of the same coin, they are both civil institutions.

In view of the above, we are of a considered that the summoning of Archbishop Dr. Alick Banda is ill-timed and a further act of continuing disunity in our already fragile society.

We are deeply saddened and disappointed with H.E. President Dr. Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND Government.

GOD WILL HELP US SEE EACH PROBLEM PERSON AS HE DOES, THROUGH THE EYES OF LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING. CHANE WILL COME, AND IT WILL BEGIN WITH THE CHABGE OF HEART; YOUR HEART SIR. IF YOU ASK HIM, GOD WILL GIVE YOU A GENUINE APPRECIATION OF HIS GRACE THE ARCHBISHOP OF LUSAKA, DR ALICK BANDA, THAT ONE PERSON, WHICH WILL CHANGE YOUR WHOLE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM, THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, AND THE ENTIRE POPULACE OF ZAMBIA. –
