UPND aspiring Councillor, Eugene Numwa has stepped up his campaign in Justin Kabwe Ward 24, touring four newly established party branches where he unveiled a four-pillar development agenda aimed at transforming the area.

Mr Numwa visited Kahilu, Shockers, Chinsali and Tanga branches, accompanied by ward officials, as he canvassed for support ahead of the party adoption process. Campaigning under the slogan “People’s Choice,” he emphasised what he described as “early delivery through connection.”

Addressing residents during the tour, Mr Numwa said his impact was already being felt in the community even before assuming office.

“Even before I assume office, my work is already visible through connection,” he said.
“Youth employment initiatives have already commenced, and we have extended support to vulnerable groups, including widows and orphans.”

Mr Numwa, who is seeking to unseat the opposition Patriotic Front in what has long been considered its stronghold, outlined security, infrastructure, health, and community funding as the key pillars of his development plan.

On security, he pledged to install street lighting across the ward to improve safety and support extended business hours.

“Street lighting will enable our people to trade late into the night without fear of theft,” he said, adding that the initiative aligns with President Hakainde Hichilema’s vision of a 24-hour economy.

He also stressed the need for prudent utilisation of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), stating that resources would be directed toward community-driven initiatives.
