Office of the Vice President streamlines honours and awards system.
The directors and senior officials from the Office of the Vice President met today to review the development of an electronic database for the Honours and Awards System, aimed at simplifying the nomination process and maintaining a comprehensive database of awardees.
The meeting, chaired by Director for Planning and Information Yengwe Kakusa, brought together representatives from various divisions within the Office of the Vice President.
The electronic system, being created by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) section, is designed to ease the nomination process for Honours and Awards, making it more efficient and effective.
The new system will enable the office to keep a centralised database of awardees, ensuring that recognition of outstanding individuals is properly documented and managed.
The development of the electronic database is part of efforts to enhance the Office of the Vice President’s operations and improve service delivery.
The meeting reviewed progress on the system’s development and provided an opportunity for officials to offer input and suggestions on its implementation.
