FM Cleaning Services has urged the government to protect local businesses from bullish behaviours from some foreign entities that want monopoly.
FM Cleaning Services Managing Director Lawrence Makumbi has lamented over the harassments he has received from Nemchem Professional Services because he refused to sell his company to them.




Speaking in response to a ruling delivered by judge Mbewe involving a conflict between FM Cleaning Services and Nemchem Professional Services, Mr. Makumbi narrated how Nemchem had proposed to take over the contract FM Cleaning Services won with Kansanshi mines worth twenty thousand (K20, 000) monthly while they sat at home and allowed Nemchem to do the work for them which they refused.
Makumbi added that Nemchem went back with another proposal to buy FM Cleaning Services as they felt the company is not suitable to carry out a contract of that magnitude but FM refused the deal again.
“After their attempts to get the Kansanshi contract from us failed, they came back to us suggesting that we buy equipment from them as they purchased cleaning equipment which they had no use for and would be at a loss, our agreeing to this was our biggest mistake, as we realised they were up to no good. revealed.
“Nemchem delivered second hand equipment which they did not change as agreed and did not stick to their deal of the contract,” Makumbi recalled.
Makumbi has revealed that Nemchem has been taking him to court on flimsy grounds and his life has been threatened in the past four years.
“I am a victim of people who believe they are the only ones entitled to business and they will go to any means to get it.
