...Chief Mpepo, Musonda Kafwaya tearfully seek justice

United National Independence Party (UNIP) President Comrade (Cde.) Mike Kaira trekked to Lunte District in the Northern Province to mourn Cde.Mutotwe Kafwaya, formerly Transport and Communications Minister slain in cold blood on Friday 14th August 2026, a day after Zambians voted in a Tripartite Election, which saw the Tonse Pamodzi Woza Alliance (TPWA) win countrywide appeal from the electorate within two months.
On his part, during a Sunday, 30th August, 2026 Kafwaya Village funeral meeting held after the slain former minister, Chief Mpepo concurred with the deceased son’s son Mubanga Kafwaya on the need for accountability as the grieving community is waiting for answers.

Earlier, a sobbing but steadfast Mubanga questioned Zambia’s democracy and good governance status which citizens view as selective.
Leading a high powered delegation with full blessings from National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) aspirant Brian Muntayalwa Mundubile and Running Mate Makebi Zulu President Kaira is urging the Zambian people to be courageous as a best honour to late Kafwaya Mutotwe.
Speaking within UNIP National Chairperson Cde. Madalitso Kamanga and National Women’s Organization and Mobilisation Chairperson, the God Mother, Cde.Kaira is prodding the Zambian people to emulate freedom fighters by resolving to be patriotic to the One Zambia One Nation motto.

Buried on Sunday, 30th August, 2026, the late Mutotwe Kafwaya is survived by wife, Dinis Ngandu Kafwaya and three children; Musonda, daughter Christine and last born son Lubuto.
