Fellow citizens.
Following an invitation by His Royal Highness, Paramount Chief Mpezeni of Chipata, Eastern Province, today, we graced the Nc’wala traditional ceremony of the Ngoni speaking people.
During the ceremony, we reiterated the need for us as a country to continue upholding our diversity and culture heritage. As we execute our function as President, we will not be the ones to see our beautiful country divided.
At the same event, we stated that as government, we stand with all of you during these unprecedented droughts that have ravaged various fields posing a danger to food security.
We are not sleeping, and we will do everything possible to ensure food security for all. As we fight for food security, we also called on ourselves to desist from environmental destruction including deforestation as these affect the climate.
We are a praying nation. We are a hardworking nation, and truly, God will do the rest.
We thank you, Ngwenyama. Nkhosi ya ma Nkhosi for inviting us to grace this year’s momentus occasion.
