To celebrate friendship, OREO and Coca Cola brands have teamed up as “besties” for a limited time to launch an exclusive and limited-edition product: the OREO x Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie, which combines the best of both brands.

Lusaka, Zambia, 6th December 2024 – Mondelēz International, the maker of the world’s top-selling cookie, Oreo, has partnered with Coca-Cola to launch a limited edition of a Coca-Cola flavoured Oreo cookie.
The limited edition of the Oreo x Coca-Cola Sandwich cookie brings together two global iconic brands in a “besties” campaign aimed at celebrating friendship and is available in the Zambian market from November to February 2025.
“We are excited to introduce this unique collaboration between two of the world’s leading brands to Zambia.The Oreo x Coca-Cola Sandwich cookie was inspired by the special bonds of friendship, and we will be celebrating “besties” across Zambia with not only a delicious cookie but also a series of engaging digital experiences aimed at celebrating friendship”, said Motsamai Pule, Mondelez International Marketing Lead for Rest of Africa (ROA).
The Limited-Edition Oreo x Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie boasts the brand’s signature chocolate based cookies paired with a Coca-Cola taste that fans know and love, perfectly embodying the essence of both iconic brands. The product has both the Oreo logo and the Coca Cola logo embossed, stuffed with a smooth, white-coloured crème, and studded with red edible glitter.
In addition to the delectable cookie, the launch introduces exciting digital experiences that celebrate the joy of friendship. The ‘Bestie Moments Generator’ on the Oreo x Coca-Cola microsite allows friends to create personalized posters by selecting a memorable activity, uploading their favorite photo, and adding their details, perfect for sharing and cherishing their special bond.
“By simply scanning a QR code on the Oreo Limited Edition pack, fans in Zambia can enter their details, follow a few simple steps, and create personalized “Bestie Moments” to celebrate their friendships.,” adds Motsamai.
Customers can also follow celebrity and social media personalities Sophia Chapeshamano, Tisa Mulima and Deborah Scott Mbewe as they share their own ‘Besties’ stories and experiences throughout the month of December.
The limited-edition Oreo x Coca-Cola Sandwich cookie will be available for a short time in leading supermarkets across Zambia.
