Zambian Empowerment hub for Entrepreneurship and Skills training (ZEHEST) Executive Director Clarence Monde Muzyamba is calling for more women and Girls to be self-reliant through Empowerment schemes so as to end the scourge of men taking advantage of their vulnerability.

Zambia is commemorating the 16 Days of raising awareness against Gender Based Violence, whose theme is “UNITE!Activism to end violence against women and Girls”.

The 16 days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, begun on 25th November, 2022 and conclude on Saturday, 10th December, 2022

Mr. Muzyamba says by virtue of a feminine vulnerability, some Women and Girls are abused because they entirely depend on men and boys for provision of literally everything.

Muzyamba says most women stay in abusive marriages and relationships because of lack of financial freedom, hence our call for women and Girls to be Empowered.

Muzyamba says ZEHEST believes that if mentored and well supported, trained and empowered with various Life survival Skills, these women can become self reliant by forming their own Businesses, making profits and being able to support themselves, their families and the nation at large.
