*NAQEZ DEMANDS FOR* *PRESIDENTIAL* *ACTION* *OVER THE M.SAT* *SCANDAL*
The National Action for Quality Education in Zambia ( NAQEZ) is demanding for presidential sanctions against any government officials at the Ministry of Education (MoE) who participated in the procurement of the condemned M.SAT.
In the last few days ,the nation could not believe witnessing the Ministry of Education failing to account for millions of Kwachas which were illegally spend on a bogus E- census software,M.SAT.Before the Parliamentary Accounts Committee ( PAC), we clearly saw how some public officers ,in whom alot of trust is deposited , betraying both public interest and national procurement laws .
School grants are critical in running various educational activities in the country. And anyone found abusing these funds becomes a serious enemy of the people of Zambia .We,therefore , invite all citizens of good will to denounce this particular scandal.
NAQEZ stands with PAC as it tries to recover the K3.6million which was regrettably donated to M.SAT.
To demonstrate continued government attachment to education and the desire to protect public funds,we urge the President to take action against anyone who was involved in this issue . Citizens are also waiting to see how the Anti-Corruption Commission ( ACC) will treat this spectacular abuse of authority.
