Political Historian, Bizeck Jube Phiri is daring whistle-blowers to drag Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Chairperson Mwangala Zaloumis and Commissioner McDonald Chipenzi, to the Constitutional Court (Con Court), if they possess biased evidence towards United Party for National Development (UPND) during elections.

Professor Phiri is opposed to long protracted court actions which end up getting dismissed because of lack of strong evidence.

However, Prof. Phiri holds a view that Government institutions and arms of Government are currently polarized under Dr. Hakainde Sammy Hichilema’s New Dawn Administration.

Prof. Phiri argued that this is being evidenced by how senior government officials are giving positions contrary to what junior officials to official spokespersons.

Prof. Phiri advised senior state officials allow official spokespersons to speak so that there is no polarization and no contradictions from what Government is saying.

A university lecturer, Prof. Phiri suggested the dismissal of senior state officials undermining official spokespersons and causing the government to issue contradictory statements to the public.

This kind of orderly and non-contradictory communication to public has been done before. I recall of one Republican President firing a senior government official who issued contradictory statements from those issued, previously, by official spokespersons,” recollected Prof. Phiri. – Zambian Developmental Media Alliance (ZADEMA)
