CLRI’s Mundia Paul Hakoola

Adding a civic voice on alleged missing funds at Anti-Corruption Commission, Continental Leadership Research Institute (CLRI) Executive Director Paul Mundia Hakoola holds a view that institutions of governance and law enforcement must work in harmony and in one accord to achieve maximum results in law enforcement.
However, recent happenings were the Auditor General Office (AGO) letting a cat out of a hat that proceeds forfeited in the Faith Musonda case, anger Mr. Hakoola as such insinuations undermine gains in public confidence in the fight against corruption.
A perturbed Hakoola laments in a Press Statement that if the Auditor General Office is going issue inaccurate reports against a sister institution, such as the Anti-Corruption Commission, it left too much to be desired credibility of Zambia’s law enforcement agencies.
“Continental Leadership Research Institute is of strong view that there is a leadership vacuum at the office of the Auditor General for such report with so many inaccuracies and has a potential to water down the confidence gained so far in the fight against corruption to published and deliberately shared in the public,” cried Hakoola urging government to strengthen human resource at the Auditor General Office and increase institutional cooperation among institutions of governance and law enforcement.
Hakoola asked Justice Minister Mulambo Haimbe and Home Affairs Minister, Jack Mwiimbu to invest in capacity building, a more robust co-ordination and strengthen institutional communication among government investigative wings.
