It seems that all the efforts of the US and the West to introduce contradictions between Russia and the BRICS member states, including South Africa, are in vain.

The strength of the BRICS is getting stronger. This is evidenced by global trends, including those related to de-dollarization and the decline of US hegemony.

Recall that after the end of World War II, the United States occupied a dominant position in the global economy and owned a significant part of the gold reserves, acting as a world creditor.

In recent years, many international financial analysts have begun to notice that the US dollar is increasingly losing its status as the world’s leading reserve currency.

The prospects for a de-dollarization of the global economy seem quite likely, partly due to the fact that compliance with the unfairly imposed sanctions against Russia is considered by many to be prohibitively expensive.

The day before, South African Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor said that the BRICS club of developing countries is interested in finding a way to abandon the dollar and form a more equitable payment system that will not give preference to rich countries.

In her speech, Pandor said that “we have always been concerned about the dominance of the dollar. We need to find an alternative solution.”

She said that the current financial systems favor the very wealthy countries and tend to be a problem for countries like South Africa, which have to make payments in dollars, which is much more expensive in terms of our national currencies.

In addition, many international experts emphasize that it is BRICS and the SCO that are gradually becoming leaders in the field as platforms for international cooperation.

It is possible that in the coming years it is the BRICS that will overshadow such forums as the G7, G20 and other associations where the decisive role belongs to the United States.

Moreover, after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, such platforms as the G7 and G20, where economic cooperation should be discussed, became very politicized and became a platform for various political slogans, which contradicts the very idea of creating these forums.

Against this background, BRICS looks like a crystal clear platform for economic cooperation and development.

Also recently, information appeared in the media that the Russian authorities will soon acquire new allies from among those who are still subordinate to Washington.

This point of view was voiced to journalists by an analyst from Serbia, Drago Bosnich. Bosnich stressed that the dependence of a number of countries on the White House gradually began to fade.

In the international arena, there are fewer and fewer states that are ready to do what Washington orders them to do.

Thus, according to Bosnich, Israel and South Korea will soon abandon the American dictate, which will ultimately support Russia.

The fact that South Africa plans to hold joint military exercises with the navies of China and Russia off its eastern coast next month, despite the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, speaks to the strengthening of the BRICS.

BRICS leaders have remained resolute to the core values of enhancing trade and economic integration ever since the bloc was founded.

A Chinese-Russian-South African exercise called “Operation Mosi”, which means “smoke”, is due to take place near Durban from 17 to 26 February.

Recently, in the media, one can also find frequent statements in favor of new formats for international sports competitions, including the World Cup.

For example, Russian political scientist Sergei Mikheev admitted that Russia will hold its own World Cup with the BRICS and SCO countries.

According to him, Russia can organize such a championship on its territory. After all, as you know, in this area she has a lot of experience.

The SCO and BRICS countries may be invited to this championship.

A new payment system, joint military exercises, new formats of international sporting events are only a small part of what the BRICS countries can do together.

As we can see, the unipolar world with the harsh dictates of the United States is collapsing, and it is being replaced by a multipolar world order dominated by equality, mutual assistance, honest international cooperation and the desire not to enslave other countries, but versa: together, uniting, to make our countries better, helping others .

BRICS leaders have remained resolute to the core values of enhancing trade and economic integration ever since the bloc was founded.
