Phresh Off The Runway, a Zambian fashion show promotion platform concluded the year 2022 in a grand style when it hosted it’s second annual fashion show in Lusaka, reports FRANCIS LUNGU.
The second annual “Phresh Off The Runway” Fashion Show that attracted a wide range and multifaceted skilled designers and fashion lovers was held on December 18 at Best Western Plus Hotel.
The event was orchestrated and spearheaded by one of Zambia’s Top Models, Precious Ng’oma.
Under the directive and initiative of Precious, the fashion show aims at creating a platform on which both local and international fashion designers, models, photographers, media personalities, and so many more, can showcase their creativity and talent in various forms of art.
According to Precious the initiator, among the long term goals of the fashion show include job creation and empowerment for the youths as well as promoting the growth of local arts and talents.
Eight designers in total showcased at this prestigious fashion show, two of which included Russian designers; Victoria Andreyanova and Radical Chic.
The remaining six Zambian designers outfits included The Alexis Brand, Melser Kim Designs, Charis Clothing Brand, Tio’s Closet, Sky Thread Collection and Clara’s Crochet Designs.
During the event, a special fashion show was also presented by the Kalingalinga Girls, a local NGO aimed at empowering and uplifting the girl child as well as young mothers in Lusaka’s Kalingalinga community.
The girls walked the runway in amazing customized thrift denim jackets with a touch of chitenge, which they sell to raise money for the NGO and their own welfare. 
Special acknowledgment and gratitude was rendered to Best Western Plus Hotel, Women Influence Community, Russian House, Tati Beauty Parlor, Darling Hair and Ultimate Media Photography for the sponsorship and support rendered to ensure the successful hosting of the event.
“We are pleased to announce that the “Phresh Off The Runway” fashion show will be back in 2023 for it’s third Season,” said Precious.
