Lusaka, Zambia – MultiChoice is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Leah Kooma as the new MultiChoice Zambia Managing Director.
Mrs Kooma took up her new role as Managing Director on 1st August 2021. Prior to her new appointment, she served as MultiChoice Zambia’s Chief Customer Officer.
Leah holds a Degree in Development Studies and Economics from the University of Zambia and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Wales. She is a member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing and has served on the institute’s Council. She is a seasoned business leader with over 19 years experience in various roles and organisations.
Mrs Kooma joined MultiChoice as the GOtv Commercial General Manager in 2017 and was later promoted to the position of Chief Customer Officer until her recent appointment of Managing Director.

Speaking on her appointment, newly appointed MultiChoice Africa Southern Region Director, Mr Kobus Bezuidenhout said: “ At MultiChoice our promise to put customers at every decision we make continues to be our top priority, this why we firmly believe that Leah will be instrumental in propelling the business to the next level. Leah has already contributed immensely to the many achievements and success of the Zambia team and I have no doubt she will excel in this new position”.

Mrs Kooma brings a wealth of experience to her new role of providing strategic leadership to the team and strategies aligned with driving the growth of MultiChoice Zambia.
