ZESCO United Football Club defender Clement Mwape gets two-year contract

ZESCO United Football Club is delighted to announce that Zambian international defender, Clement Mwape has renewed ties with club by two (2) years.

Club Technical Chairman, Peter Mutale confirmed the development to ZESCO United Football Club Media department after agreeing terms with the dependable defender.

“Clement Mwape is a fantastic player who continues to add great value to the team. Our backline has been at its strongest because of players like him.

“We are delighted with this development because it consolidates our team further especially at a time when we are on course to winning the league title and also getting our feet back in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions,” Mutale said.

A delightful Mwape described his stay at the club as fruitful.

“I am very happy to have extended my stay at ZESCO United because I have achieved a lot of things that many players would want to achieve. I have had the opportunity to win league titles and cup competitions. My stay here has also enhanced my opportunities of playing for the national team,” Mwape said.

Mwape’s initial contract was ending on October 31st 2021, and the defender hopes to continue adding value to the teams’ success.

“ZESCO United is a big institution that everyone wants to play for and win major titles. It is my wish to continue working extra hard so that we can win more titles. It is unfortunate that we lost the Absa. We are working hard to ensure that we win the league this year and retain the league cup next campaign,” said Mwape.
