Let us hold peaceful elections, pleads ZCTU General Secretary Cosmas Mukuka

Zambia Congress of Trade Union ZCTU General Secretary Cosmas Mukuka is calling for a peaceful campaign ahead of the Thursday 12th August 2021 polls.
Mr. Mukuka is urging peaceful voting and acceptance of results, in an effort to forestall violence before, during and after the general elections.
Mr. Mukuka says the elections are significant for the citizens, in determining a Republican President, Member of Parliament and Local Government representative, thus the imperative need to ensure that they are conducted in a peaceful and transparent manner.
The ZCTU Secretary General has told Kwilanzi Newspaper Zambia Limited in an interview in Lusaka that as the campaigns start in May 202, Political Parties must ensure they stress holding free, fair and credible elections.
